Regional Leadership Conference 2024
August 2024
Our leadership was able to attend the NSBE Region 1 leadership conference where each member was able to attend workshops tailored for their respective positions. On top of this, there were general leadership workshops, some of which were competitions. A Stony Brook student won the improv public speaking competition. The chapter was also able to get the resources necessary to start a new NSBE Jr chapter that is now in development.
50th NSBE Convention
March 2024
In Atlanta, members were able to enjoy the scenery of one of the fastest growing cities in America. Students received offers from Caterpillar, Cummins, AECOM, GE Aerospace and more. One member was in need of a full time offer that would provide her sponsorship because of her immigration status. At this conference, she was able to secure a full time opportunity with Sponsorship.
2024 BEYA STEM Conference
February 2024
At the Inner Harbor Baltimore convention center, 26 members of our chapter got to interact with K-12 students, college students, corporate, government, military professionals, business, and industry employers with three 3 days of learning, networking, celebrating excellence, and showcasing STEM career opportunities. Students received offers from Booz Allen, Boeing, and more.
49th NSBE Convention
March 2023
At the ‘23 National Convention in Kansas City, the Stonybrook NSBE chapter actively engaged in networking and attended a variety of workshops. Our students secured impressive opportunities, including a full-time offer from Dell, an internship at DuPont, a research opportunity at the University of Iowa, and even an offer from Bank of America in the economics field—highlighting that this event is not just for STEM majors.
2023 BEYA STEM Conference

At Gaylord National convention center, the Stonybrook NSBE chapter brought 16 students to have the opportunity to network, attend valuable workshops, and interview for potential internships / full time jobs. Students received offers from Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and more.
